Lychees are tropical fruits native to Southeast Asia, known for their small, round shape and rough, reddish-brown skin. Once peeled, they reveal translucent, juicy white flesh with a sweet, floral flavor.

Purchase guide

Look for lychees with coloured skin that is not wrinkled or torn. They should have a light fragrance and be free of mold. 

COnsumptiOn

The taste and smell of the lychee are reminiscent of roses. It can be eaten as a snack, in salads, in jams, as a garnish or in cocktails. 

storage tip

Lychees can be stored for 7 to 10 days in the refrigerator crisper. They can also be frozen. If left at room temperature, they should be eaten within 48 hours.
