Mini mangoes are distinguished from other varieties by the fact that they fit in the palm of the hand. They are also less fibrous and sweeter.
The best way to choose a mango is to take it in your hands. When ripe, it is slightly soft to the touch and it is normal for it to have small black spots.
Compared to an ordinary mango, the skin of the mini mango is thinner and edible. The pit is similar to that of a mango and contains almost no fiber. Also, mini mangoes are not as juicy and will not leave your fingers sticky.
Mangoes can ripen on the counter at room temperature. Once ripe, they will keep in the refrigerator for about 14 days.
